Kia India Sets New Safety Standard: All-New Seltos Earns 5-Star Bharat NCAP Rating with Record-Breaking Scores

Kia India today announced that the All-New Kia Seltos has earned a 5-star safety rating from the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (BNCAP), establishing it as the highest-scoring internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle ever tested. This achievement underscores Kia’s unwavering commitment to delivering world-class safety standards tailored for Indian roads, positioning the Seltos as the gold standard for family SUVs in the segment.

The All-New Seltos excelled across rigorous crash test protocols, showcasing exceptional structural integrity and advanced safety engineering. Its standout 31.70-point score in Adult Occupant Protection and 45.00 points in Child Occupant Protection highlight comprehensive protection for all passengers. Built on the innovative K3 platform, the SUV features enhanced rigidity through hot-stamped components and ultra-high-strength steel, optimizing crash energy absorption and distribution. This robust foundation integrates a 24-standard safety pack – including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), and a Level 2 ADAS suite with 21 features such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Blind View Monitor, 360° Surround Camera, and side parking sensors – ensuring proactive defense against real-world hazards.
